Ceramic Fireplace Logs
Ceramic fireplace logs offer up many possibilities in creating a very lifelike and enjoyable gas fireplace
experience. Ceramic fireplace logs are available in a vast array of styles, sizes, and prices. With only a little
bit of searching around, you are sure to be able to find exactly the kind you are after. But, just what kinds are
available and what can they offer for your gas fireplace? Let’s look at this a little closer?
Ceramic fireplace logs can be an extremely important part of any gas fireplace. In fact, some would say that
they are the most important part. Really, they are a large part of being able to create a very lifelike fireplace
that can be a very convincing imitation of a real wood fireplace. A good burner is also an important part of the
equation. With the right setup, it is extremely hard to tell the difference between a real wood fire and a quality
gas fireplace with ceramic logs.
When it comes to gas fireplaces, there are basically two kinds. These two kinds of gas fireplaces offer a very
different experience, and have to be handled differently. Vented gas fireplaces are the far more accurate looking
kind of gas fireplace. As the name implies, there is a vent with this kind of system to help remove unwanted
particles from the burning gas. This is the kind of gas fireplace logs that produce a more natural looking yellow
flame. They are able to produce this wonderful yellow flame because they do not burn the gas as cleanly as
possible. This brings us to the other kind of ceramic fireplace logs.
The next kind of gas fireplace logs are the unvented kind. These do not need venting because they burn the gas
very cleanly and do not produce much in the way of unwanted particles. Because they burn the gas very cleanly, the
flame they produce is the very unnatural looking blue flame. This is not a very good imitation of a real wood fire,
but some people may prefer it anyways.
Ceramic fireplace logs are available in many different qualities and many different styles. The better quality
ones are nearly impossible to tell apart from real wood. They can be bought in any style of wood you could imagine
would be used in a fire in a home. There are plenty of ceramic fireplace logs in oak, walnut, maple, and every
other kind of wood you could imagine.
